Ilaria Legato is an FERPI (Italian Public Relations Federation) professional specialised in “Brand Care” and “Communication Design” in the Food Wine & Tourism sphere for clients in the world of catering in Florence. She is a director of the IED COMMUNICATION school in Rome where she coordinates the “Communication Design” course. Together with Food designer Paolo Barichella, she founded “Food Design Reunion” an initiative that focuses on national and international Food and Design projects. Paolo Barrichella
Food Designer In 2002, after in-depth studies in Food Technology and Sensorial Perception, he progresses his activity from designing engineering polymers and thermoplastics to giving shape and functionality to Food according to human needs. He theorizes Food Design and contributes to evolving the Industrial Designer role into specialized Food Designer. In 2004 he started promoting Food Design in Italy, as well as enhancing it internationally, through developing related contents and theorizing its values, patenting the Food Design brand and its Internet domains, www.fooddesign.it, www.fooddesign.info. Paolo Barichella is Founder of the Committee on Food Design ADI (Association for Industrial Design); Scientific Director of the magazine Food Design Progettazione Alimentare; and Founder of the Food Design Community.
Claudia Gelosa
Specialised in marketing and communication, Claudia has gained professional experience as a communication and advertising planning manager for various brands in the fashion, sportswear and accessories field upon national and international levels. Since 2003 she has been actively committed to architecture communication, starting a career with Archea Associati where she was responsible for the press office and events until 2005. Later, through her own agency Re.publique Communication for Architecture, she manages the press office for various architecture firms and companies, as well as for exhibitions and events related to art and architecture. Since 2010 she teaches at IED in Florence, Fashion Communication Advertising and PR.
Guido Charosky
Industrial designer graduated at the University of Buenos Aires, has a Masters degree in innovation from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and has done graduate studies in business management at the School of Industrial Organization. He currently works at Loop Business Innovation as design and innovation project manager and he is a professor of IED since 2008. Previously he was part of the design team at Hewlett Packard where he did product and interface design, user research and customization projects among others. Guido has experience in various fields of design ranging from product and service, interaction, interface, retail and packaging. He has developed projects for companies such as HP, Indra, Danone, Volkswagen, Coca-Cola, Chicco, Revlon and Unilever among others. He worked on projects for Argentina, USA, Spain, England, Italy and Dubai. He has written articles for journals and international congresses and has lectured at ESADE and LaSalle University. He worked as a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, School Elisava and IDEP. His work has been published in various magazines and newspapers and has won design awards in Argentina, Spain, Japan and Germany.
Gary van Broekhoven
Gary started his first business at 14 and is a serial entrepreneur. He has over 16 years experience in the field of design and entrepreneurship. He has worked in design and innovation for large brands and has spent half of his career working within the game industry including head of design of an international toy manufacturer. He set up the first Open IDEO off-line group and has been teaching innovation related topics at universities for many years. His work has won several awards and been published in many international publications. Gary’s passion is in helping others make the world a better place which he does through one of his businesses dedicated to accelerating startups and training corporations in innovation.
Alberto Arza
Designer, curator and organizer of events for different companies and public institutions. From his studio he combines his work with research in fields such as design, food and public space. He approaches every project with experimentation, multidisciplinarity and sense of humour. He has been working for companies and institutions such as Lekue, H2O Gallery, Bisazza, Papilla, Habitat Valencia, Cervantes Institute, and his work has been displayed in solo and group exhibitions in Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna , Lodz, … He has been granted several awards including an honours mention CDIM from Habitat Valencia, the FAD Incubator Award, the Baneo Award at Cevisama, the Design and Innovation Award at Madrid Fusion and the Delta Selection at ADIFAD.
